Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully with Gen Dornying (weekly)

We are alive, therefore we will die.

This is the simplest, most obvious truth, yet few of us have come to terms with this fact.

Once we do, we’ll find the energy to use our life in a meaningful way, and to help others through this very natural process.

Join us online as Gen Dornying continues to give commentary to the book Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, an invaluable handbook to help ourselves and others and become free from trivial worries and concerns.

Although this class is run sequentially, you can join anytime.

Declutter Your Mind (weekly)

At present our mind has the nature of movement. This means that we flit from thought to thought without control. This state of inner turbulence is called ‘unstable attention’. It is the basis of our anxiety and depression and makes our inner world cluttered, congested and unpeaceful. It makes happiness and wellbeing impossible.

This is a very common diagnosis in our hectic modern world, but there is a solution. Buddha revealed special meditations that dissolve the turbulence and negativities away.

In this five-week course we will learn these meditations and make our inner mental space like a clear blue sky, the nature of peace. Learn the essential techniques for decluttering your mind, and fulfil your wishes for a focused and happy life.

This class will be held on:

A Complete Guide to Meditation with Natalie Eichelmann (weekly)

Without inner peace there is no real happiness at all. Problems, suffering and unhappiness do not exist outside the mind; they are feelings and thus part of our mind. Therefore, it is only by controlling our mind that we can permanently stop our problems and make ourself and others truly happy.

Our Thursday night drop-in course, a complete guide to meditation, will present twenty-one Buddhist meditation practices, actual methods to control your mind and experience lasting inner peace. It will also teach on how to prepare for meditation and transform everyday life into a spiritual path.

The course is based on the New Meditation Handbook by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. This extremely practical guide is an indispensable handbook for those seeking happiness and meaning in their lives.

Take some time out every Thursday evening to kick start your meditation practice.

Please Note: Thursday 22 April will be available to attend online only.
